I need a reliable mobile phone on O2 (I live in a rural area and O2 is the only network that works). I want to spend less than 100 pounds. I previously had an O2X2 (Absolute rubbish) and a Sony Ericson K300i (worked for 6 months, now spends more time being repaired than I spend using it). What do you recommend? It needs to be muppet proof (i.e. doesn't mind being dropped constantly) and have a long battery life (i forget to charge my phone)

Iagree about the Samsung D500, absolutely bullet proof.. has been through hell with me, power kite buggying, motocross, skate board ramp,, you name it its been there got abused and lived to tell the tale.. Its got a really good computer interface that allows you to download images from the phone and is ideal in keeping a backup for all those irreplaceable numbers.. Really a sound choice.. I think they are reasonably priced these days as they have been out for over a year so you should get a very good deal..

Good luck

Try the Carphone Warehouse they usually have free booklets in store that will give you all the info you need about all the phones that they sell
