What would you do when you discover that the guy whom you best friend is totally crazy about is actually befriending her to get to you? Will you tell your infatuated friend the truth and probably risk her heart breaking thus affecting the friendship or u just act like u dont know about it urself, and just let her waste her chance with other guys?

Don't need to tell her, as she'd probably read you as conceited and deceptive for trying to steal "her" man (even though that's not your intention).

Distance yourself from him at all costs, though--don't encourage him, and if he ever speaks plainly to you about it, tell him that you don't go for guys who toy with others' emotions to get to the person they really want. You've probably been friends with the girl longer...bank on that. Good friends are hard to come by.

The Romans say "In vino veritas" - which means in wine there is truth. Made me kinda wonder what truth would you get out of drinking wine anyways???....what happens if a person doesn't drink wine - does that mean they wont know the truth. Or does it just mean when you're drunk - the whole truth comes out..:)

....Of course not, the truth always prevails....whether you tell your friend or not, she will, in the end, find out the truth. And when she does find out....the question now is - what I wonder, will she think of you?? Therefore, having this and only this thought in mind - you need to make a decision now. In keeping mum or by telling her, which would do her justice?? Yes, the guy may be after you but if your friend is having a good time with the guy now - why rock the boat? What benefit would you or your friend get if you confront her with the truth???

In my opinion, there's nothing wrong with your friend....however, I do strongly feel that the guy should be taught a lesson and a good lesson at that. Very unbecoming and definitely not following the rules of romantic engagement (is there one??).

Well now....hope that helps....& good luck.

Well, if thisis true, i guess i wouldn't say a thing, cuz she might not believe you and might get suspicious that you're jealous. Just pretend nothing's goin on, this si probably best for everyone. Though its not the truth, this is really a situation in which being indifferent is most important. But you know it won't hurt to drop your friend a few hints that maybe her friend doesn't really like her too much.

I don't know what I would tell her but I guarnatee you that I would not give the guy the time of day, how insensitve of him to 'use ' someone in that manner- he is being deceptive and a chicken if he can't just come up to you and let you know how he feels- that he would trample her feelings on the way to you is disgusting. If you are truly her friend don't give him a second look and find someone that will have more respect for you AND your friends.

There is NO alternative to the truth. EVER!!!! Without truth, what do you and your friend really have? A true friend may be hurt by the truth, but will appreciate it in the end.

No somethings have to be found out on their own. You ignore the guy and he will see he has no chance at you so he will leave her alone. But be there for your friend to lean on. Take her out for a night on the town and meet other guys and DO NOT start dateing the guy who was using her

Ok, so tell her you've heard a rumor going around that the guy is just using to get to someone else, but your not sure who. Or tell her you heard that he is just dating her till he can get to the girl he really wants. Then you'll just seem like a caring friend.

Act like nothing is going on as long as you dont allow the guy to get to you like he has been planning all along.

Well, I think I'd tell my friend what I think is going on. Then, since you know the guy is doing this to her, just think that he may also do it to you sometime, so both of you need to move on. Drop the guy, he ain't worth it.
