Ok, one of my friends (girl) has been seeing this guy for almost two months. And, she's slept with him a few times...and also stayed the night at his house a few times. So, she told me that she stayed there both Friday night and Saturday night. And that, Saturday night she woke up in the middle of the night (while he was sleeping on his stomach) and she got this bright idea to grab the flashlight he had on his end table......and look at his butthole. She said that he didn't wake up, but when she shined the light on it that she saw a few white worms...and they were scared of the light and went back inside! She was freaked out and left, she called me laughing about it. I told her she should go to the doctor because maybe she got some. She says that she would notice if she had worms, but obviously this guy doesn't know....could she get them!? And what are they?

They may be pinworms that live in the anal cavity, and come out a bit at night. They are usually very itchy. They are transmitted through the oral-fecal route (not washing hands well enough after contact with feces) so she shouldn't have to worry too much.
However, how to tell the guy about this? It's not like she can come out and say "Hey, while I violated your personal privacy by taking a look at your anus while you were sleeping, I noticed some worms." That's a question that I have no idea how to answer.

You are right...this is gross...BUT it is natural as well.
Humans can and do get intestinal worms and it is as simple as falling off a log to get them passed onto you.
Tell your friend to go see a Chemist and get some worming tablets and that will fix her problems, even if she thinks she is not infected, better to eradicate them now.
As for the guy, she better tell him and give him some of the pills too.....They won't go away by themselves.
Also, when one person in the household is effected, the rest should take the medication too.
Don't take the easy way out and say nothing and stay away because this is another person(s) health we are talking about.....embarrassment is no excuse.

Wow! That must have been a beatiful night!!
Your friend saw a few individuals of Ascaris lumbricoides and yes, your friend must have some of them.
If you want to get some ascaris, you just have to share a spoon or go to the restroom after an infected person, or even better... kiss him. Congratulations! Your friend has parasites.
But don't worry! They are not as bad as you could think.
Tell your friend to go to the doctor, he will tell her to take some medicine. It's easy.

Depending on the size, they are either pin worms or tape worms. If they were small, round and short, they were probably pin worms. If they were long, flat and segmented, they were probably tape worms. They can be gotten rid of with medication or home treatments. Your friend should tell her boyfriend. Worms do pose a health hazard.

They are a kind of parasite. Easily solved with mediciation prescribed by a doctor after sending a fecal sample to the lab. They are very rare so your friend better start asking where he's been. And she may get them from him.

Could be pin worms. She needs to have some tests, and needs to act like a responsible adult and tell him.
