LAURYN HILL anyday!! I like Alicia - don't get me wrong - and she can play (classical music with an r/b flair) but I love the soulfulness and depth that Lauryn Hill has.
just curious: to the yahoo member who says Lauryn is a 'racist'....I'd love to hear your explanation on how she- alone has been empowered to seek, exploit, and attempt to desicrate or destroy any culture or race of people, thus preventing the growth and existence of a nation of people. Racists were the white men who, by their own methods of greed diligently sought to seek, to destroy and eliminate the Native Americans in this country. I think sometimes we use the word 'racist' and it has a different meaning all together.

Alicia Keys... unfortunately Lauryn Hill has been accused of stealing other people's stuff. They are both talented musicians...but if i have to pick one, i am going with Alicia.
