Whenever I click the links to the message boards the messageboard takes over the whole page instead of the frame. What's going on and how can I fix it? I don't see a problem with my html.
You can check it out by going to http://www.geocities.com/helpprob Click on one of the topics in the left frame and click on either submit or read.

I use the same company for my guestbook and my guestbook doesn't behave that way.

This isn't so much an answer as an educated guess.

If my understanding is correct, the links open other pages, rather than writing different html in the existing frame. The result is that the entire structure of the introductory page with its frames is replaced when the linked page is loaded.

Try refactoring your code so that the page sources are loaded using DHTML. What I did to make my own site so that different pages would load in a frame was to utilize the style.src attribute and change it dynamically using javascript.
