I need some details about wireless modems such as: what kind is best etc. One of my sons wants to play his psp abroad and the other has a notebook and of course, I have the main computer.

I work with wireless modems daily as a cable internet technician, and I highly suggest you don't buy one. The most popular type, the Motorola Surfboard SBG900, is terribly unreliable and expensive to replace. Instead, rent a standard broadband modem from the internet service provider of your choice and buy a wireless router, preferably one by Netgear. This will give you the same benefits as a wireless modem, but it will be more secure, reliable, and cost-effective.

I have netgear. It works great for me. I have one computer on the modem and three others that feed off of wireless modems all netgear.

Netgear is good and not hard to hook up (I did have to call their tech support once, and they were very helpful). We have two notebooks hooked up to it and it works beautifully. Linksys is a very good brand, too.
