Its easy mate...I'm thinking about doing it too. you need to get in touch with the SIA. and the BSIA. If you have your SIA licence, then you can offer your self to 1 company and in spare time look for another company and when you have another contract.. you would be better off going through a recruitment company like momentum security and employing another guard. You might have to spend a little of your own money at first but you know you need money to make money. Let your new employees know that they will have to deal with there own tax and N.I. which is easy. Once you have a few contracts and are making even the smallest amount of money....Just build it up. Let me know what you think - vaisatzg3@yahoo.co.uk

My answer is and always will be.
Business Plan. Business Plan. Business Plan.

That should be the very first thing you ever do when contemplating starting a business.

You will find out the rest will come easier. It forces you to do research and you might even find out whether or not this is the right business for you. But you can never know this untill you write a BUSINESS PLAN.

with the price of minimum wage going up , it will cost more . But in my shop I just fired everyone working for me . I then told every one that I now pay by the piece . you finish one piece and that is how your paid . I will not pay them by the hour anymore. It is the only way I can turn a profit for me , and it inspires the workers to work harder.
