Like a previous poster said, the official answer is his cabinet. I'm sure for any president his cabinet is his biggest source of information. The other special groups depend on which president you're talking about. They listen to whom they choose. Luckily, there haven't been any suprises lately about who the president listens too. The voters have been getting what they voted for.
