Yes...and it's a horrible, horrible story.
I was in a relationship many years back. Things went from light to heavy within two months. I didn't know how to handle it so I left the situation. Didn't even say goodbye. If you've seen Superman Returns...Lois' tirade about Superman leaving and not saying a word...very much how this girl probably felt. This same situation broke my heart, but she didn't know it.
There is a happy ending...after 12 years of no contact we found each other and I apologized. It really felt like a weight had been lifted and since then a lot of healing has taken place.
To answer your question...yes and yes. ;-)
