i know this girl that rent dvd's from blockbuster. she brings them home and puts the movies on her computer. then she turns around and burns a bunch of copies of them. we dont like each other so i cant ask her how she does it. i tried putting one of my dvd's in my computer, but nothing happened. i do have roxio cd & dvd burner program #6 on my computer. and i have a cd burner on my computer. can sumone help me?

You need a program called DVD shrink. It uses Nero's burning software...so you will need that on your computer as well. They do not both need to be running. DVD Shrink will bypass the encryption and will recompress the movie to fit onto a 4.7g disc. It will then uses the nero componets on your computer to burn the movie onto blank media.

One recommendation -- I do not burn the whole disc. Run the analyzer. When that is done, click the reauthor button on top...on the list you will see a sub-heading of 'main movie' If there is more the one listing on that double click the largest one. Then click the backup button. That is just the movie. No menus, no trailers, no extras.

thats illegal.
since i'm a nice guy i'll tell ya.
download dvd shrink, dvd decrypter, and nero express. first decrypt the video, then shrink it with dvd shrink so it will fit on a dvd, then burn it with nero.
check out the manuals for more indepth info
