Amazing! Your right, the time is just flying! Bathing suits were hardly out in the stores when I noticed the winter coats moved in. Actually, Christmas shopping can be all year long. Whenever I see that special item for someone, no matter what time of year, I'll buy it and save it for Christmas gift giving...especially if that particular item may NOT be available ever again. You know how that goes. If most of the Xmas shopping can be accomplished within the year, by the time the crazy shopping days arrive you won't have that much madness to deal with - maybe just a few odds and ends, stocking stuffers. And, the bonus is, you can now chill out for the season, instead of stressing out. Stretching it out can be fun since you have the luxury of time on your side! So forget the heatwave and check out the sales in the nice air conditioned stores. Happy Holidays.

Only conceptually. My son gets a new PC this year ... waiting for the post-Christmas mark downs. He'll be in Vienna this fall and is happy with it.
Otherwise, I tend to do my shopping at the last minute. Buying gifts is sort of an art. Nothing inpires me quite like the reality on Dec. 24th at 6 pm that my time is just about gone. That is my muse.

Have not bought anything yet but I am thinking and looking. I love Christmas and all the things that surround it and make it what it is. All the spiritual things, the secular things, i.e. Christmas trees, music, hussel and bussel (sp?) of shopping in the crowds. I love it all. Of course one day I fear that as a Christian I will have to decide which I want, to celebrate Christmas as the world does without Christ or go into hiding and worship my Lord during the holidays. I dread to see that day, I pray that I will have enough courage to do what is right.
Sorry to have gone one and on, you did not ask for all that. lol

I am always shopping for gifts. Its the only way to save money when you have grandkids is when you shop all year long. I have all 5 of my daughters family done.!!!!!!! I live in Ohio and She's in Illinois she was home for several weeks in June and we went to the mall toPennys for the sidewalk sale and I had her pick out things for the family. This way she can take them back on the plane and I won't have to ship them which is very costly$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$. I spend $65 on 10 items of clothing and save according to the receipt 285.00 this is why I shop all year long. Wouldn't you?
