It varies. For instance, my cousin lost his high-pitched voice at around 10 1/2. On the other hand, I know guys who are in their early 20's who are mistaken for women or young boys on the phone. The general time period that most boys that I knew lost the squeaky voice was between 13-15.

It actually isn't a specific age - rather it is one of the stages of puberty. The source URL below is from a British study that uses a lot of technical language and largely unknown vocal measuring scales. This study found a link between the volume of testis (the male "balls") and the "cracking" or changing of the voice.
