I've had a Ford Escort, the only problem with the gas mileage is your feet get soar after pushing it the first 3 or 4 miles.

Hybrids seem like a good idea, I thought about getting one, but after some homework I decided not to. The idea for me was to save $ and not change my driving habits too much. My homework showed me that the maintenance on a hybrid cost so much more than everyday cars, that you don't really save $. Better for the environment not so much on the wallet. Good luck in your car search.

I would like one. But I would not purchase one until they have been out on the market for at least 7 years. Right now they are very expensive to maintain/fix. After your 3 year warrenty is up you are stuck paying for repairs and your car payment still.

Frankly, the car I drive now (a 1994 Ford Escort) gets better mileage than most of them.

HECK YEAH!. I totally want one. But I have this strange worry that when they break, They REALLY break. Like mucho dinero on the repair bills, if you know what I mean!
