I bought a cell phone from the Verizon place in the mall in January for 110.00$ - it was cool and everything at first but now I'm just kind of tired of this type of phone and would like to try something new..so would I be able to just take the phone back ( I have all the papers/packaging/etc. that it came with ) and get a different phone and have the 110.00$ count off on the new phone? So like if I wanted a phone for 200.00$ - I would only have to pay 90.00$? Or would I have to just keep my old phone and pay all 200.00$ for the new phone? Also, I'm not on a plan I just have the IMpulse deal..if that makes any difference, annnnnd if it does make a difference, would Verizon be able to program the INpulse plan into one of the regular plan phones? Like perhaps a Razr - those phones are available if you're on a plan..but is there something that they could program into the phone so that it could also be an INpulse phone?

Alright well sorry for making this so long and confusing.

The only way you could exchange it is if it was defective or if you are elgible for an upgrade. Usually when your contract runs out you get a new phone until then you are stuck with the one you have unless you pay the full price of another one and exchange the SIM card. Sorry.

They usually have a clause in the contract that allows you a short period of time, and/or minimal usage, during which you may have been able to return it for exchange. Problem is, the time is far beyond what I believe you are allowed. You could get another handset, but this short a period into your contract would mean you'd have to pay the full purchase price, not the discounted one they gave you on that handset you already have. Your best bet would be to look on Ebay for a handset compatible with Verizon. There's plenty of them listed, and maybe your preferred model is there cheaper than at the dealer. I worked at a cell phone store for 4 and a half years, so I know how they do business. And I've bought Ebay handsets and accessories, just be cautious about it and buy from a seller with lots of good feedback. Be sure you read all the description to be certain you aren't buying a DOA phone.

Sorry, it's your phone now.
You want a new one you'll have to buy it.
Why didn't you just go to Verizon and ask?
Seems stupid to come and ask random people - Hey, what do you think? When you can go straight to the store..
