I would say that, yes, he is a good president. Not saying he's a Ronald Reagan, John F. Kennedy, Franklin D. Roosevelt, Abraham Lincoln or George Washington - good president, but he's a good president.
The reason that I think he is a good president. He doesn't care what critics think. He had his ideas (for which he was elected by the majority of Americans, ~smirks~ or at least the Electoral College) and he acts upon them. When he is critized, he shrugs it off.
Go ahead, people. Sit in your homes, huddled over your keyboards, scouring Yahoo! Answers. Even though you want him impeached, its not going to happen. And even if someone tried... who cares? I bet old W doesn't. He's on the way out. A year and a half, and he's a lame duck. Last term. He can't run for re-election, therefore, he doesn't care.
If you really want to make a difference. VOTE.

Well I would consider some of the things that he has done as good. For example the cut was a great step to boost the economy, in fact the was some guy who won the Nobel prize in economics that said the tax cut should have been even bigger. Now I have to admit have did have his problems, like I don't know many people who could have known that Iraq was the only thing keeping Iran in check. But there actually is evidence that Iraq had WMDs and were trying to cooperate with terrorists to use them. Also I think that the whole thing that happened to him with the Dubai ports deal was bogus. First of all it wasn't his job to worry about that, and second it was a plain example of racism against Muslims.
I disagree with his opinion on stem cell research completely as well as his immigrant policy or reform or whatever. Stem cell research can saves lives and using embryoes is the same thing ethically as using a donated person's heart or other essential organ. As for the immigration policy just because millions of illegal immigrants are in this country doesn't mean that we should just quit and give them amnesty(I hope I spelled that right).
But all in all especially considering the circumstances I think he has done well. The worst thing Clinton had to worry about was a dress stain. Bush has been in the office for 6 years now, he looks like he has aged 12 years. Regardless to say I wouldn't want his job. Especially the way that the media has scapegoated him, as is evidence by most of the tools that you see posting anti-bush respones with good reasons other than the TV told them so.

Most liberals and almost all Republicans now think Mr.Bush is a lousy president. He has the lowest approval ratings (across the political spectrum) since Nixon!
Currently, 36% approve and 55% disapprove of the job he is doing. This indicates that if you think he is doing a great job, you are in the minority (even of Republicans!).
Has there ever been a less fiscally-responsible "Conservative" in the history of the US?

Not as bad as some, not as good as others. But at least he doesn't stand around wringing his hands saying"Oh **** what now" he may not always do the right thing, but at least he's motivated to do something.
Most people seem to assume they would be all grace under pressure, and please all of the people all of the time. A patent impossibility. Not me, I wouldn't have the job of President of the United States for anything.
I am curious as to what you will get for answers though.
Peace.

I voted for him the first time and I think he is the worst president of my lifetime. It is not even close. His father was a good president but this apple has fallen very far from the tree.

Thats a tough question because he came onto the scene after
clinton who in my opinion is a traitor.
All I can say is he is not gore or kerry and that says a lot - its why I voted for him.
I really don't trust any of them - Rep and certainly not dems.
