Hell no. I see it and you see it, but other so called "Americans" don't see it! It never seems to amaze me how much "Americans" will let thier selves get walked all over.
I don't know about you, but America is losing its luster...the question is how do we convince people that there is a problem? All of us together can change much of what is wrong (government).

Try getting on the subway here in Toronto the day after not one, not two ... but SEVENTEEN terrorists who were planning on blowing up said subway.
There isn't a day that goes by that I don't thank my lucky stars that Prime Minister Stephen Harper got voted in.
I consider that I am giving up my rights to privacy for personal safety. In a few years, I'll be having kids ... and I really believe people who have children are responsible for giving them safe, healthy homes and lives. Would you bring children into a world where they could be orphaned by hijacked planes, or trains blown up on the way to work?
I'd rather have my wires tapped. That's kind of why I voted for the Conservatives (Republicans for the Americans). So did more than half the country ... oh wait, that's right. That's called *democracy*. Considering we got Stephen Harper after you got George Bush -- and considering Stephen Harper made it abundantly clear he agreed with President Bush, I think you know where at least 50.1% of Canadians' opinions lay. Is it so hard to believe Americans think this way too?

While I think security is important, I think there are some excesses. And selective ones at that. It is ironic that a CIA operative was outed and endangered by the same vice president who advocates all these invasions of privacy. To date He has not been held accountable for this. Yet tax paying citizens who speak out in conjunction with the laws of the land are harshly regarded, ostracized and referred to as agitators. Even a blind man cannot enjoy the freedom of a medical accommodation without being harassed by the president himself. Where is the security? Where is the freedom?

HECK no!
I hate it. There are so many freedoms be lost just so baby boomers can sleep peacefully at night. In 10-15 years this wont even be a free country.
Party doesn't matter. Democrats want to take the freedoms and Repubs arent fighting to maintain the freedom. Only LIbertarians are fighting the fight.

no. I want freedom. This country was founded on freedom, therefore it shouldn't be taken away. I fear Prez. Bush more than those Iraqis. Didn't the war on terrorism originate in Afghanistan ? How did it end up in Iraq ? Hmm, let's see, our president thinks he's the sh*t and can do whatever he feels. Where are those weapons of mass destruction ?

Don't get me wrong, 9-11 was a tragedy of proportions not seen in this country since Pearl Harbor. However, that being said, I find it sad that all it took was two fallen buildings and (literally) one millionth of its population killed to make America's ideals implode.

I would like for you to answer me one question. In the last five years what rights have personally been taken from you. I wish for you to give me specifics of your case and what has happened to you. Don't give me some obscure law or it has this effect. I wish to know what rights YOU, have specifically lost or had taken from you. I want to know the details of how you lost that right and I want to know specifically how your life has been changed by this loss that you claim. I don't want to hear about the diminishment of others or of other obscure things. How have you specifically been affected????
