it flies to a flower and sticks its long bill into the flower and sucks the nector, kinda dark in color

Some moths hover and sip nectar just like a hummingbird. I think that the praying mantis looks a lot like a hummingbird when it is in flight, only it flies slower. The wing beat and size looks very similar.

There is a bug called "Hummingbird bug" it's body looks like a big bubble bee and it has wings that move fast like a hummingbird They are not very common so really you are lucky to see one !!!

We have a moth like that here, just called Hummingbird Moths.

It is indeed a hummingbird moth. They are quite the spectacle but entertaining.
