Cloth pads and sea sponges (used like tampons) were used. So apparently was moss. I read that women in previous generations had fewer periods than we do, because they had poorer diets, had more illnesses and were pregnant more often than we are.

The chlyamdia isn't likely. The in all threat reason is that typically the plumbing does no longer paintings somewhat brilliant, so themes do no longer drain properly. this may carry about a lower back-up interior the gadget and hence infections. The urologist is in all threat going to finish a touch x-ray form imaging to exercising recurring how useful the drainage is (pronounced as a VCUG). If there's a topic, surgical medical care many times works o.ok.. it really is truly an rather uncomplicated concern, so aren't any further getting too labored up in worry-free words yet.

I do not think they wore anything..and I bewlieve this because I have seen first hand the way that some of the Aboriginal ladies/girls in the outback that are traditional..they just let the period bleed out..nothing there...it is yukk but it is tradition for them....then after the cycle is over, they wash and they just live on as usual.
Note..not all Aboriginal people do this..of course..but it may indicate the tradition of long long ago.

Back in cavemen times, no such records, chances are they just went free-flow - I think about the furthest back we go in terms of menstrual options would be moss tampons or menstrual huts…but then my guess would be that cave women did not really menstruate all that much as they would be pregnant for a lot of their time.
http://www.mum.org only goes back so far.

I would guess they do the same thing that rainforest tribes and isolated African tribes do - either use pieces of cloth as tampons and towlels or just wash away any menstral waste with water.

I don't think women knew of any dignity at that time, but if they did it would probably be animal fur skin that would absorb, like deer skin or something

Did you ever hear the expression on the rag? That is what women used to use, rags.

They didn't use anything. They didn't wear underwear until recently, but long skirts hid the mess.
