I've been on the birth control pill for about 7 years now. I'm not planning on getting pregnant anytime soon but I'm starting to worry that if I stay on it too long it may affect the chances of me getting pregnant when I do start trying. Anyone know how long is too long to be on the pill?? Is there a time limit that could have concequences??

I took a break after 5 years on the pill..a 3 month break that was. Then I resumed the pill and had a one month break every 6 months. I now have four children under 9yrs of age....after having taken the pill for a total of 10 years before the first born..with the breaks I just told you there.
I had no problems having the kids at all :)

They do not affect fertility. In fact, the estrogen based ones actually mimick a pregnancy.
By the way, I took them for years before I had my son.
