Naomi had two sons. She lived in Israel when a famine came to the land. She, and her family, moved to the land of Moab where her sons married. Both her sons and her husband died and Naomi decided to move back ti Israel. She told her daughters in law to go back to their families.
One of her daughters in law went back but the other one said "wherever you go I will go, your God will be my God, your people my people.....". Her name was Ruth.
The story goes on th tell how she married a man called Boaz and became the grandfather of King David.
To understand more find the relationship between the Moabites and Israel and read the book of Ruth, in the bible.

She was the maid in the household or are you referring to "The House that Ruth Built?"

David was a descendant of Ruth and Jesus was a descendant of David. So she is the great....................grand mother of Jesus.
