No, well maybe. The weight of the guitar maybe the cause. Try finding comfortable straps and distribute the weight evenly on your shoulder & neck. Looking cool by having your guitar down to the ground won't help you when you're in too much pain to play. Hoist it up to a comfortable level. Bending your neck to look down @ the strings doesn't help matters either. And stop headbanging! Take two asprin and call me in the morning...

I don't. It is propably because you do not sit or stand with a good neck and back posture when you play. just sit or stand up straight when you play to avoid these.

occasional shoulder pain....only when I play for a long time though
