If no one had to sacrifice to make it happen, I would like to live forever. But it would be a sad existence. All friends and family would grow old and die. If there was a partner whose company I enjoyed who also had this gift of imortality, it would be better than just living on alone. Read "My First Two Thousand Years" sometime. A good book which delves into what it may be like, and the temptations and hazards which would be involved.

I would definately NOT live forever. All my friends and family would die and I would be left all alone. Plus, when you get old you get diseases and it's uncomfortable. And in Harry Potter, Dumbledore says that "To the well organized mind, death is nothing but the next great adventure". And besides, I belive that when I die, I will never ever have to be sad or in pain again, and I belive that being dead will probably be much better than being alive.

I'm with Lazarus Long on this one too. Especially if there's rejuvenation clinics, space travel, human colonisation of other planets, cloning of yourself in the opposite gender, tranference of AI into human bodies and eventually time travel in the future. I'd especially like to travel to other time lines. Oh and I want to visit the Land of Oz and talk to Pixel. To Sail Beyond the Sunset.....I'd do it in a second. If your family dies, you just have fun making the next one, yeah? I so much want to see the future. We're just on the cusp of the technological age. Imagine what the future holds. Time enough for love......Thanks Mr Heinlein.

Of course I'll choose to live forever, i don't understand why people are so afraid of been alone and having your relatives die on you, don't get me wrong, but in the end all you have is you.
Imagine the things you would see, imagine live trough ages.
People that hate to be alone it's only because they are afraid of themselves.

I do not want to live on earth forever,I will be happy to rest in heaven for forever. The earth is going in a bad place and I hope I'm dead and gone before it gets there,I want to see my family that are in heaven waiting for me.I miss my grandma, and I wouldn't want to live forever on earth or in this body,I'm tired of pain and suffering, mean people, being sad or mad,I am glad to know all the bad things in life will not last forever because I will pass on one day and be in heaven eating my grandma's chocolate cake and being eternally happy living forever in heaven!

Hi,
Well Sweetie, I hope you don't mind me calling you that, but if you believe in God and live your life the right way and are baptised by immersion then you will live forever. So yes I would choose to live forever.

I have never read that book, but the answer to your question is no. I couldn't imagine going from one generation to another, just making memories and meeting new people all the time. I'd just like to stop after a while.
