In Austin, 6th Street is a fun place to go to at night. Great nightlife. Great bars.
In San Antonio, you should go to the RiverWalk. It has tons of restaurants, lots of shopping and has a great atmosphere. Nearby the Riverwalk is the historical and famous Alamo. There is also Sea World, if you are interested.
Houston and Dallas are both big cities and, in my opionion, both lack an individual culture. In both cities, you'll be able to watch sports year round. They both have professional NBA, NFL, and MLB teams and Dallas also has an NHL team. Both places have lots of shopping, good museums, and many restaurants.

Visit the Stockyards in Ft Worth for that cowboy feel, then stop over to Grapevine to scope out all the rich folks' houses (Chuck Norris, Sandra Bullock, etc.). Then spend some time at TCU checkin out the finest honeys in the world. For Halloween, go to the Haunted Village at Scarborough Fair. Definitely go to the original Six Flags Over Texas. Don't forget to get yourself a dozen fresh baked sausage rolls at the local donut shop. These are just a few things I miss about TX. Also, if your interested there's a strip club just about everywhere you go. If you're rich you can go to the Penthouse Key Club, where Penthouse centerfolds dance for big bucks.

i have never been in Texas, put if i did i would do the same thing that i just to do before moving to Texas meet people go movies and maybe get a part time job

If you're over 21 you should check out the music scene in Austin. Austin is the live music capital of the world. If you're under 21 there still has to be something musically related. Have fun!!

it depends what city ur in... theres always the mall, theres 6 flags fiesta texas (park with lots of rides)
