Well, first of all, the best thing to write a topic on for an essay is something that you feel passionate about like a hobby, sports, something political, art, or something of that nature.
Secondly, to just give you the three main ideas would be to basically "write" your essay for you. You will never learn how to do an essay this way. Trust me on this one. I was poorly at writing then i was told what im telling you.
Third, Think of the essay as a conversation with a friend..... you start somehting out like.... Did you know that their were sooo many different types of art? And you discuss the different forms of art, and use examples... the year, period, type, and name of the artist. then go to a different type of art and do the same...
It is really easy when you look at it that way...
but you should try to find and write it on something that you are concerned with or somehting that you enjoy doing...but other than that i will have to agree with Moses on this one...

If you are able to select any topic, it'd be best that you pick a topic you feel strongly about otherwise, you'll have a hard time making your thoughts flow. Good luck.

You should think of a few things that are challenged in todays social belief system,for example things that people refuse to talk about like prostitution,Political oppression,and things on what does your school system do with the extra money that is not accounted for at your school. etc....
