People view white as an establishment that frowns on others which are different from them and they r also the majority. Every group has its' racists, some just more subtle. I can be considered racist, but I base my remarks on love of my race, not hate for another!

Maybe the reason is because "whites" are mostly responsible for historically being the oppressors in our society? Were there "white" slaves in our culture at one time? (No, I'm not talking about the working class.) Who else is responsible for the oppression--the Latin Americans? The Asians? The Native Americans?

I'm sorry for sounding like I'm somehow against the Anglo and caucasions (which I'm not for the most part), but it's just the truth that the oppressors of society rarely ever realize they are the oppressors.

But yes--there is also a type of counter-prejudice that tries to spread prejudice against all "whites," and that's not justifiable in today's world either.

Prejudice= an attitude based on unjustifiable negative attributes applied to a whole group of people.

stereotype = a blanket statement about members of a group of people that assumes all members have the same characteristic (usually something negative).
