SUN ROOF- may slide up or down
MOON ROOF-tinted window, only slides to open

For me a Moon Roof is just a Sun Roof with My Butt sticking out

Moon roof : doesn't open but allows sunlight into the vehicle through a window in the roof.
Sun roof : opens to allow sunlight and fresh air into a vehicle trought a window in the roof

A moon roof, is almost the same as a sun roof, all the same functions, but it is sheet metal, or panel that is the same color as the exterior of the car, truck. And you can't see thru it till its opened. For them yahoo's that don't know anything but want 2 points.

I think a moon roof you can't open and a sun roof you can actualy open.

Moon roof just opens up and tiny bit - basically it lifts off, and the sunroof, is one that slides all the way in- and you have a full window opening above your head. I always wondered that, but never thought to ask, makes sense though.

"moon roof" is just a silly name for sun roof, made by someone who wanted to try to be creative.

i think moon roofs are clear and see through while sun roofs are tinted to block the suns rays.
