I was born on october 23 so I was also told that I would be a cusp all this is in relation to getting a tattoo.... of a scorpion holding the zodiac symbol of scorpio but I have also had this thought out of being a cusp that the scorpion should be holding the scales of the libra I know it is my personal decission to make but.... I was just wondering about the zodiac and to see if I could find a reason that is on making my choice of a tattoo ... you know research on the whole zodiac thing... this will be my first tattoo and really am looking forward to it ... have wanted it for a long time and I am going on 32 years of age so... it tis something I must do ..... you know, Part of Life's list of things to do cant wait to get this tat.

The reason is that the earth's orbit isn't perfect. In different years the signs change on different days. To find out YOUR particular birth sign, just go to one of the free horoscope sights that asks you the specific date and time of your birth and you'll have the actual answer to your dilemma.

It's from October 24 to November 22 If your mother was born in nov 22 then she's a cusp.

Astrology is not an exact science. In fact, it isn't science at all. But I suspect the astronomical reason is related to leap years. The Earth completes one orbit in 365 1/4 days, so we have to have a 366 day year every 4 years. There would be an exact second that divided the Scorpios from the Libras, and that second would be possibly on the night of October 23 or the morning of October 24, depending on what number of 1/4 days had to be accounted for in the year you were born. You would need to know the exact time of your birth and then determine the exact position of the Sun in the sky at that exact second to determine your sign.

Oct. 23, yeah, I go with Scorpio because it is much cooler than a damn Libra. 2 different horoscopes have Oct 23 as a cut off day for some reason. Just get the Scorpio and make up some cool excuse if some smart azzed chick tells you Oct 23 is really a Libra.

Ahh, it's just silly horoscope fantasy fairytales anyway, what's the difference?

You're getting a tattoo of your "sign?" Perhaps you could pick something else in your life that has actual meaning?
