People from the south have an accent, and people from the east, but what about Californians? I'm just wondering.

I never thought we did, until my girlfriends & I met some guys in Las Vegas,who were from England, that said we did have accents, we were all pretty drunk, so they got honest the more they drank, when one of my friends asked if our accents sounded as nice, as theirs did, ..........the response was ours sounded rather strange.....HM?? We weren't sure if that was a "Compliment, or an insult"...... Still dont .. I dont think we do, in comparison, to other Americans, tho........

I´ve been in CA and in some other parts...I know Texans, and people from other countries...I honestly don´t think Californians have an accent...

No. Californians speak correctly. Without an accent. They are perfect in every way. ;)

Nope, I don't have an accent.
But I guess that all depends what perspective you look at it from. It never sounds like an accent if it's how you always talk and hear things. However I'm sure the British laugh at our silly American accents.

You must mean native californians? I was born and raised there. No, I don't believe they have accents.

Yes, they do. I remember going to the Phillippines a few years ago and telling some small children I was from California after they asked me where I was from. They proceeded to taunt me by mocking my "valley girl" accent. I didn't even say "like" that many times. :)

I'm from California and never had an accent until three of us moved to Arkansas. Now twixt all of us youngins we do have an accent. We learned to speak hillbilly. haa ha

im from Northern California! and i say we do have accents! i can tell when im talking to a person from California! oh and i've been told i have an accent by people from other states!
