No. Douching actually set up bacteria in your body and produce Bacteria Vaginosis.

Douching in not recommended by doctors regardless of age, pre-pregnancy or pregnancy. There is little benefit from douching.

Douching interrupts the balance between the acidity and micro-organisms (fauna and flora) necessary that protect us from infection. While our cervical mucous allows bad bacteria to flow out, douching only pushes it back in.

Other risks include the following:

Ectopic pregnancy
Pelvic Inflammatory Disease (PID)
Bacterial Vaginosis
Bacterial infection
Urinary tract infection (UTI)
Itching, discharge, burning
Douching may mask infection
Reduces chance of conception by washing out semen
There are products out on the market that are proven safe to use externally. Taking daily baths helps prevent infection and keeps the area clean.\n\n If symptoms such as yellow, thick/white, itchy, foaming or foul-smelling discharge occur, seek medical attention. You may have an infection that must be treated before trying to conceive or during pregnancy.

This is tricky. Best to not douche at all. It is something way overrated and overused in the U.S. As the pregnancy progresses, you would be advised to not even sit in a tub of water unless it is sterile and you have a good reason for doing so. Improper douching or using chemicals can upset the mucous plug protecting your baby from the outside environment.

Never ever think of douching. In fact my doctor advised me to not even use any feminine wash. It can cause more harm than good. The best way is to just use tepid water to wash. It is never good to use anything unless prescribed by an ob/gyn. If there is any itching/discomfort get a swab test done. I had it done during my 2nd pregnancy and the doctor found I had Group B streptococcus. Thank God I found out early and I was put on anti-biotics during delivery. It is not harmful to the carrier but it is very harmful to the baby. Please talk to you doctor and get more information.

Douching is not good for the vagina at all.
It messes with the bacteria balances of the vagina which in turn causes really bad bacterial and yeast infections.

not until your ob/gyn says so. i'd say wait at least until your 5 months. the chemicals and outside fluid could harm baby embryo or fetus.
