Now what about those girls who want to swim but can't use a tampon(not because of choice but health reasons, like enodometriosis and the materials used in tampons help spread the disease.) So CAN U swim in a pool without useing ANY pertection when you are on your rag? Does the blood stop and not make a mess or do you still continue on as if nothing were different. You'd think the water and the pressure may stop you period from occuring while you were in it? Think of a bath.

OF COURSE!!!!!!!!!! all these ppl dont know what they are talking about. the whole thing about bleeding in the pool is a myth. and its not true. im a senior at my highschool and i have been on the varsity swim team since freshman year and i have never worn a tampon in the water. the pressure of the water keeps everything in. it might be scary the first you dont wier a tampon in the water but you have nothing to worry about. none of the other swimmers on my team ever have tampons w/ them for swim practice. only when they are at school. its a swimmers fact

I would not even go near the pool if I were you. Two probs: First, if you noticed, sometime drinking anything cold may give you cramps right? Well the cold water would have the same effect. Second, going in the pool with your cycle on to begin with is not very hygienal to you or the other people in the pool(please don't be offended i'm speaking generally). Blood has bacteria, bacteria in water, water has people in it, people swimming with mouths open, possibly gulping water down by accident...you see where i'm going with this?

you could...but you will make a mess, also...if you wear a pad it will just fill up with water...
you can get so many tiny tampons, why not try them out...i think that you will find its not as scary as you think. get some super slim ones with a silk cover and follow the instructions...you'll get used to it and remember, you cant even feel it if you use it correctly...
