I am not condemning or even looking at him with disdain.

Everybody makes mistakes, some people just get caught at it. I have never been one to believe that the stuff a drunk spews should be held against them, and I think this whole thing is just being used as a tool to further other purposes.

I like and admire Mel Gibson, and this will in no way change that. I won't stop watching his movies, or wanting him to make them. He's an easy target for attack, and the predators were waiting to jump him.

He may have some great qualities however I know that when you're drunk you tend to babble and spew what you really think is the truth. All of your inhibitions and limits are gone. So I guess we know what he REALLY thinks.

Also, I do use my purchasing power on the people and companies and causes that I believe in. Isn't that kind of freedom what we're all about?

I will think twice about lining his pockets.

Man is entitled to his opinion, like everyone else. We don't have to agree with him, but I defend his right to say it. Only reason a big deal is made out of it is cuz he is famous. Everone says things and thinks things that may not be appropriate for some, but we all do it! Its when you act on negative comments, thats where you can be concerned. You all need to quit acting like you're perfect and pure in your comments and thoughts. Give us realists a break!
