There is no reason for you to wash your nipples before or after feeding your baby.

Your Montgomery Glands (the little pimple-like bumps on your areolas) help to keep your nipples clean.

Washing your nipples is only going to dry them out and make you more likely to have sore nipples.

You don't need to do ANYTHING special to your nipples. Just get your baby in position and nurse!

No, because Babys go by smell to find to the mother's nipple.Since baby's eye sight is not as good as a child's the baby smells for the breast milk. So if you ever see a baby moving its head by its shoulder and just moving its head its trying to smell for the nipple. You can wash your nipples once in a while but if you do it every time the baby wont know where its food is.

Pediatric nurse for 13 years it is not necessary to wash your breast every time u feed the baby cause you can dry the nipple out and end up having them get chafed and cracked so I advise not to. but it's really up to the person who's breastfeeding the baby if it makes u feel happy do it..

Good grief, no. Worst case scenario, the baby might get a little sweat. Plus, it'll dry them out even worse than they already are.

Thats a little bit over the top.
What ever you washed them with would probably be worse for your child's health then before.
And also all bacteria is not bad.....
Dont get too "clean" its not natural.

No. This will actually dry them out, as it robs them of the natural oils in the body.
