in need for a six grade science project please help!

She went to high school at the Collège Sévigné, and then studied chemistry and physics at the Sorbonne, where she became the first woman to teach there.

At the Sorbonne she met and married another instructor, Pierre Curie. Together they studied radioactive materials, particularly the uranium pitchblende ore, which had the curious property of being more radioactive than the uranium extracted from it. By 1898 they deduced a logical explanation: that the pitchblende contained traces of some unknown radioactive component which was far more radioactive than uranium; thus on December 26th Marie Curie announced the existence of this new substance.

she went to the sorbone. her bio is on nobel.org with the rest of the nobel prize winners. if you can find the one written by her daughter eve it makes marie curie a little more human, but there are a few years it lapses over because she is protecting her mother's memory. just do a general search and you'll find out all sorts of info on her
