I bought a pizza and there was a piece of mushroom on it. I hate mushrooms and this has been causing me stress all day. I don't think pizza shops should be allowed get away with this kind of mental torture and I think I need to make a stand before this happens to someone else.

If you are allergic to mushrooms, as I am, and you told the waiter that, you may have a lawsuit. Eveery time I go to a pizza place ot a restaurants, I have to tell themk to make sure there are no mushrooms in my meal, because they make me deathly ill. If they then give me a meal with mushrooms, I can file a lawsuit. I always mention this, so they are sure not to give me any mushrooms.

As for those answerers who told you to "pick it off" apparently do not understand, that even the residue left by a single piece of mushroom can kill a person who is allergic to it.

I think you need to accept the fact that people make mistakes.
I will assume that this piece of mushroom was a very small amount on a small portion of the pizza.
I doubt that it was all over the pizza, so it is possible that the mushroom was in a container next to other ingredients that were used on your pizza.

If you are getting stressed over this, then I doubt you have much else to stress over.

I would probiobly order from the place once more in a couple of weeks, and stress that they leave the mushrooms off, and mention that they forgot last time.
This should be a subtle enough hint to them that you dont like mushrooms, and if they ignore your request another time, then youll just order pizza from someone else from now on.

You know, if it was medically harmful, that you are highly allergic to mushroom, and caused you to throw up and go to the hospital, you do have a reason to sue the pizza shop. But simply because the chef placed a mushroom on your pizza, a harmless little mushroom, which I am sure he didn't do it intentionally, then you're being silly about it. Just take out the mushroom and throw it away...you don't have to be a sissy about it! Don't be a ***** for small things, dude, be real.

Try this on for size... Go somewhere else, and no I could not see any jury awarding any kind of damages for a piece of mushroom. Unless you could prove that it caused you some kind harm and it was intentional or could have been prevented. (The courts uses a fictitious reasonable person in these cases)Your stress is self inflicted I would recommend developing some coping skills. Try seeking professional help if you are too overwhelmed.

Are you being facetious?
Why didn't you just return the piece of pizza and get a new one?
You must not have very much to worry about -- put your problem in perspective.
Btw, you must really hate mushrooms to get this upset! You know, mushrooms are quite nutritious -- give them another try!

Oh my God!!!! Not a mushroom that you have to pick off!!! It's people like you that sue everyone and make this world a worse place. Now people are too afraid to help others in fear of being sued for something. Stop stressing about things that don't matter when there's sooo much worse things out there.

probably not and I think any lawyer would laugh at you. Instead of going to all that trouble try talking to the manager of the pizza shop maybe he can give you some compensation like a free pizza next visit or some coupons, if that doesn't work try head office that always works.Try not to stress out over the small stuff.

I say SUE! When you blow all your money on a lawyer and stand before a judge only to have him dismiss the case as a baseless lawsuit, you won't have any more money for pizza!

In the future, when you have a REAL case pending, the lawyers for the other side are going to bring up your stupidity so that you have no chance of winning.

Good luck with all that.
