Israel does not have the technological know-how to carry out an attack against strategic targets. Even U.S. could not effectively destroy military targets without inflicting a heavy casualty on civilians and Israel is no way near capable of carrying out a war like this without serious collateral damage.

They don't seem too concerned about that and they have cornered themselves into a position where they cannot stop fighting because if they stop, the rockets will not stop landing in Israel. And the way Israel is inflicting civilian casualties, the longer this war goes on the worse the situation will get in the middle east. The Arab countries in the region will not stand still and let Israel kill civilians (intentionally or unintentionally).

They are looking at U.S. and watching U.S. to make sure they don't incur the U.S.'s wrath by intervening. Do you think the Arab countries wouldn't have pounced on Israel if U.S. wasn't backing them up now?

In Response to one of the Answerer:

If Hezbollah is everywhere, then it's okay to kill 100 civilians to kill a dozen Hezbollah members? What's the right ratio for you? 100 Civilians to 1? 1000 to 1? 10 to 1?

Most people can't even find Lebanon on a map. I doubt anyone here knows the answer really. I get what you are saying though; Israel is attacking the civilian population of Lebanon, they too have no idea where Hizbollah fighters are, they have not attacked the Hizbollah representatives in Lebanon's government, they are just bombing at will against a relatively defenseless population. The result is hitting the targets you mention in your details.

The fight against Hizbollah is right where the fight against "terror" is, it is a fiction that you can possibly have such a war, Terror is a noun, and you can't fight a noun, it is a fear inducing way of the US (and Israel) to justify thier illegal actions and thier pillaging of other people's homeland and killing of thier families.

The sad part is, these chickens will come home to roost once again. We are still supporting many terrorist regimes in Pakistan and in Columbia and many other places. These folks all have reasons to attack us, and time will show that exposing our weaknesses as we are, we will again be attacked.

Unless the People of the US demand that we change our internal attitude and smarten up. The thing is, I think it may be too late for that also, since the government which is externally violent is also internally violent, thus psychological warfare against citizens and the obvious restrictions on our freedoms. No right to assemble, limited freedom of speech, no direct democracy whatsoever... The Constitution is null and void, GITMO all that.

They really ****** us...

So what are we going to do about it?

They are fighting Israeli troops and have caused them a lot of military damage which is the aim of Hezbollah.

As for the people who are parroting Israel and the biased media about Hezbollah dreaasing as civilians or hiding amongst civilians, before you speak, ask yourselves this question:
If what you are parroting is really true and not just an excuse for the Israeli genocide, how many of the 600 Lebanese mrdered were Hezbollah fighters and how many were civilians?

Next, if check out these sites about the "hiding" of Hezbollah behind civilians:
http://wakeupfromyourslumber.blogspot.co...
http://www.uruknet.com/?p=m25227&hd=0&si...
http://www.salon.com/news/feature/2006/0...
http://www.liberateus.org/ar-deadchildre...
http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/middle_east/4... (actually the Israeli troops are using Palestinians as human shields)

The international community (specific governments) are allowing Israel to conduct genocide against the Lebanese people, punishing them to force them to comply with UN resolution 1559 and at the same time, these same countries are vetoing every Un resolution against Israel and not putting any pressure whatsoever to force Israel to comply with UN resolution 242 & 338.
http://www.biblebelievers.org.au/expelle... - just a look at the Un resolutions against Israel should be enough to see the long history of aggression against its neighboring states.

The same government is attacking and accusing Syria & Iran for supplying Hezbollah with weapons while it has been and is continuing to supply Israel with weapons – applying a double standard stance in the situation.

PSEUDO_OBSCURE: Way to go.Its' proven here on yahoo.

Some said something about a 'long history of violence from Israel against their neighbors'. Apparently this person has forgotten the 6 day war and every OTHER war Israel has fought against being invaded by Egypt, Syria, Iran, Iraq, and Jordan. this person is also forgetting the PLO and the Munich Games slaughter, forgetting about all of the suicide bombings that takes place in Isreal EVERY day of the week for years! Sure, Israel is bad, they SHOULD just allow all of these countries and groups that have stated time and time again that Israel should be destroyed completely, the Jews all killed, and EVERY temple burned down! Right, THAT'S what Israel should do.
We, here in America, actually will NEVER understand what living with the threat of war and sudden death every day truly means! We will never know (hopefully), what it means to get on a bus and hope you make it to your destination alive! or go to a cafe, or a movie, or ANYWHERE! We have crime here, sure, but this is a whole different reality they live in the Mid-East and WE CANNOT JUDGE WHAT THEY DO OR HOW THEY REACT!

Now quit asking retorical questions. I'm sure Isreal has hit a coupple of Hezbollah among the inocent civilians and forigen aid workers. Israeal would say that Hezbolah hides among the people and that they attack civilians so its okay for Israel to bomb the lebonese civilian population. Also they say they've given the civilians time and the warning to leave, and they say this like they have a right to tell civilians to move away from there homes.

Israel hit roads and airports to cut off Hezbollah's ability to resupply (something that has been done in every war because it makes sense to cut off the enemy's supply line) as for the Red Cross (or in this case red crescent) Hezbollah (being the macho men that they are) are launching rockets from houses, businesses, and ambulances why don't you criticize them?

This is not a fight against Hezbollah. It is a mission to destroy Lebanon and gain Israeli control to occupy yet more Arab land. Hezbollah is just the Zionist excuse to make it look justified.

You have your finger on it. Israel is intentionally blockading Lebanon so that it can control, or at least, slow the resupply of Hezbollah. But what comes next is the question. Does Israel continue wiping out the infrastructure of Lebanon to keep it inefficient and ineffective just so they, Israel, can concentrate on Palestine?
Certainly, the Islamic rebel army wanted to widen the war and take the heat off the Hamas Government, and it successed in doing that, but what comes next is the question.
Is Israel going to execute a frontal assault on Hamas? We will see?

Hizballah seem to have a protection sent down by Allah
It did happen before in History where Angels would descend to cover humans from certain other humans, so I won't be surprised if that is happening now
Of course, they are not just sitting there in a farm and fighting, there are hiding somewhere, but all the spying technology that Israel has is failing them because, inshalla, Allah is blocking Hizballah's whereabouts
