Like when some people are so set in their ways and stubborn about something, they don't care what you have to say? Or when what you say goes way over someone's head?

Yes! Yes! Yes! Yes!Yes! And again I say "YES".

I have this one friend that I always tell her that she has "selective hearing!" The funny thing is that she is always asking me for advice!! She also wants to know what I think about a particular thing and when I give her the advice and express my opinion one way or the other, it's like she didn't hear a word I said!!! The reason I am saying this is because she will go and ask someone else the same exact thing that she just asked me and reject my advice and accept the other person's!! Sometimes it is even the same advice from that person that I had already given her! When I point that out she just says "Oh" and smiles and goes on her own merry way!
I get so exasperated with her sometimes! But she's not mean or anything so I don't get all that upset with her. I just wish she would stay with the first advice she gets, namely mine! Like I said earlier, she has selective hearing.

A maxim: "Everything I say goes from one ear to the other." They're so adamant, what do you expect? They know their own ways of achieving goals, so let them be. However, I don't agree with that, that's why there's a word like, "advice". I guess people don't like to take advices from anyone, they want to feel unique making their own decisions. Also, stubborn people really don't get far because they won't listen to advices. Advices are meant to help. However, some stubborn people just work hard to achieve. Some pepole just act like they're not stubborn but they really are. I hate it. At times, yes I do feel like what I say is lost on the ears that hear it because whenever I try to point out something, someone would just agree. Okay, great, they agree, yet they continue to do the same old crap repeatedly.

Yes, all the time. That's why I don't talk much. I usually will write things instead and post them or send them to people I know will listen, understand, or atleast have an open mind.
