Since U.F.O. is merely the acronym for "unidentified flying object", sure; because the only criteria needed for it to qualify as a U.F.O. are, first, that it be flying, and, secondly, that the viewer(s) couldn't tell what it was. If you are erroneously using UFO as a synonym for "alien spacecraft", a craft from some other place besides earth, the jury is still out, but satellites and telescopes, monitoring the whole surface of earth 24 hours a day, have not spotted any UFOs entering or leaving the earth's atmosphere.

In the strictest sense of the word, of course UFO's exist. People mistake all sorts of things as UFO's: jets, satellites, mirages, even the moon & Venus.

If you're referring to actual alien spacecraft from another world, I highly doubt it. The whole concept just doesn't make sense. Our military already has aircraft that are next to impossible to see from the ground. And yet an alien species, with technology millenia or eons ahead of our own, advanced enough to travel the stars, can't do the same thing? Uh-huh, right.

Either the aliens are here to observe us, or make contact with us. If they're observing us, they're doing a piss-poor job of keeping themselves hidden despite their staggeringly advanced technology. And yet if they wanted to make contact with us, I don't see how the entire world WOULDN'T know about it. No gov't, even one stocked full of "men in black," could keep such a secret, especially if the aliens didn't want it to be a secret.

Quite frankly, I don't see what possible interest aliens could have in us other than as a scientific curiosity. It's not like we could teach them anything they don't already know, and I rather doubt we have anything of value they'd want. (Natural resources are far more plentiful in space.)

So the only reason they would have for coming here would be to study & observe us. But that goes back to the original problem, if they're so far advanced ahead of us, why can't they master the exquisitely simple task of remaining hidden from us?

People who strongly believe in flying saucers have what's known as fantasy-prone personalities. This same type of personality trait is also found in believers of ghosts, ESP, bigfoot, and creationists.

Sure... anything that moves in the sky and is unknown is, by def. a UFO. The question is are they some kind of natural object or extraterrestrial?

In an interview last week, one of the first lunar astronauts, Aldrin, said that they observed a UFO while on their way to the moon. NASA told them not to mention it.

It would be a wasted space of universe if we are the only ones here ... how sad and disappointed I would feel about the creator of such a beatiful thing that's outside of this planet.
There's not prove yet, but I bet you anything that there're life in other places than here.

What do you think?
