Its been said that maturity develops with experience. If thats the case why do some people insist that younger women are more mature then there male peers?I say this because Ive seen lots of Childish grown women who are old enough to know better. And Im not convinced that Gender is a factor so Ive just got to ask what is maturity? If this question offends you dont answer it

I would have to say that I don't think that maturity comes with age. I just really think that it has to deal with experiences someone has been through and how they deal and grow from them. I know that there are a lot of people who say that women are more mature or something like that but along with you I have also seen my fair share of immature grown women. My personal opinion is maturity is just how well you can grow from the things that you have been through.

Mature: completely developed; grown up Maturity: state of being mature
Usually when someone suggest that a 14year old girl is for the most part more mature them a 14 year old boy. Because over the years it has been proved to be more so then not. It doesn't mean that that is a fact with all, just in most cases. And I could say the same for people around my age that I feel they need to grow up but that's my opinion on what I think is being and acting mature.

Maturity doesn't necessarily have to do with gender or age, but in some general way it probably does correspond to both, as well as to experience. I think what makes some people more "mature" than others is the ability to learn from their experience and their mistakes. All of us will make a variety of mistakes, but the more "mature" people will avoid making the same one over and over again.

Maturity to me means you've reached the point of your life when you can look at things, know where they're coming from, walk away and still put a smile on your face when we didn't get our way, learns responsibility, look towards bettering yourself instead of bickering at others, and the list can go on and on etc.etc...It is a commitment you make to be the person that others can look at and want to be with, learn from, and feel good at being who you are...so it really isn't all about gender or age because everyone is different - it's the reality of the process in life...
