My favourite era in music is the 50s and 60s as it was when i was growing up, saying that the 70s and 80s weren't that bad either.

I really love all music, yes all (even country can classical), but in really thinking about what era I enjoyed the most when it came to music... I would have to say the year 2000, the millenium! This was the first, and so far still, the only time there was such a variety of music styles in the top 10! Yes it seemed it was the year of the pop star (Simpson, Aguilera, Spears, Backstreet, Nsync), but I think that helped other, real players to step up their games.

You had such a variety of females at the top of their chops (Faith Hill, Pink, Toni Braxtion, Destiny's Child). You had newcomers like Lara Fabian, Eiffel 65, Sonique, Dido, and Macy gray.

You had Kid Rock, Mandy Moore, Wil Smith and Don Henley hitting the charts at the same time?! How crazy is that?!

Yes, you had the boy bands, sigh... but that's a small price to pay when you also got bands like Blink 182, Creed, Foo Fighters, Matchbox 20, Chili Peppers all coming out with great stuff!

You get the catchy Sisqo for the trends and the beginning of the powerhouse called Eminem. Madonna went clubbin', Amber goes 'sexual'. Enrique wanted to Be With You, No Doubt, no doubtly had a simple kind of life, and Nelly gave a lesson in Country Grammar. I mean this was the best year to start years to come with anything, anything could be number one, anything was pretty much accepted if it was good.

AND, how can I talk about the year 2000 without mentioning Santana and colllaboration with new stars to bring music back to why we love music... because it does bring out the best of us.

My era was the 80's because I grew up in the 80's. The 60's and 70's are good but the 80's just have that extra something special for me.

I loved the 60's. The Beatles(I got to see them in concert in 1964!!!) The Dave Clark Five (saw them, too!!), Gerry and the Pacemakers, the Beach Boys,(saw them, as well) the Byrds, the Kinks, Peter and Gordon(saw them perform at a rollerskating rink!).....the list is huge. It was great being a teenager at that time. I also love the music of the 20's and even earlier. I listened and learned the words to all the songs my parents loved. I started teaching myself the guitar about the time of the Everly Brothers and Elvis. Except for Wings,Jim Croce and one or two others, the music of the 70's and beyond is just a jumble to me.

Hmm classic rock is the best way for my to classify it. Mostly 70's but a lot also in the 80's.The 90's rock with Pearl Jam, Creed and Nickelback. New music has Shinedown, Hilary Duff and Alter Bridge.
