The show with the professor who was going bald and had white hair with black glasses? He had a distinct voice and would always write on a white board with a marker to explain the experiment.

FYI it is not Bill Nye or Mr Wizard or NOVA. The beginning of the show had some strange music and the lights would slowly turn on in the studio/lab. At the end the lights would dim an the music would play again. It was a short show maybe 15 min per episode.

Also not electric company or 3-2-1 contact. This show had only one person, the professor. There was no humor just straight science.

The science guy

Comedian/scientist Bill Nye stars as the genial host of this popular, fast-moving show designed to get kids interested in the science of everyday, and some not-so-everyday, things. On a full range of subjects, including ecology, biology, chemistry and physics, Nye gives an easy-to-understand, yet informative lesson that both kids and their parents can enjoy. The series has aired on Disney Channel, PBS, and Noggin in the years 1993-2003.

or
1984 Don "Mr Wizard" Herbert developed "Mr. Wizard's World", a faster-paced version of his show that was shown three times a week on the cable channel Nickelodeon. The show ran until 1990, and re-runs were shown until 2000, making it the longest running show on Nickelodeon.

In the late 70 s and early 80 s there was a tv show that was about computers and electronics that was very entertaining. There was the same host for every show (the host made this show interesting and not boring). In Miami it was on channel 17 during the day. I used to watch it when there was no school. I have not found any information on this on the internet. Does anyone remember the the name of this show?

Are you thinking of Bill Nye The Science Guy? If so, he has a "web column". I just came across it yesterday.
