I liked Holes. My daughter and I read this book to each other and the movie did not disappoint.

I would definatly have to say ummmmm.........
EVERY SINGLE ONE!
thats why it was made into a movie
cuz it was a realy good book

But the best would have to be What Dreams may Come...Great movie but even better book.
I deffinatly recomend it...and if u havent seen the movie yet read the book first.

On a different note what i found out to be realy weird was every Disneys classics movie was first a novel...like Bambi, Cinderella, Snow White, The Little Mermaid, The Lion King, Mary Poppins, Peter Pan, Dumbo, etc.

The Godfather, of course. Decent trashy book, great movie. Other movie adaptations that were better than the book: Get Shorty, LA Confidential, The Black Stallion, The Wizard of Oz, 2001: A Space Odyssey, To Kill a Mockingbird, The Maltese Falcon. Give me more time, I'll think of more.

One for the running is "Jurassic Park" The book was so well-written, it was easy to visualize every event! After reading it, a coworker and I discussed that it would make a great movie. Less than six months later, we found out that the movie version was starting production. The first movie really did the book justice!

For me, Under The Tuscan Sun and Godfather (one and two only, of course) are better as movies! That is seldom said. I think The Stand did King justice as well, so did Misery. Memoirs of a Geisha...the movie was beautiful but the movie story was too confusing and let too much out.

The Lord Of The Rings without a doubt, great books, great movies (except love story with Liv Tyler)

I like the DaVinci Code. I never could get a grasp on Robert Langdon until I imagined him Tom Hanks with a mullett.

Pride and Prejudice and A Time to Kill were both done really well.

The Lord of the Rings trilogy received a brilliant treatment in the movies.

Little Women. Honestly, even as a little girl Little Women never appealed to me, but the movie was much more adapted to modern conventions and had more fun with the plot. Sorry Louisa May, but you were too prudish for my taste.
