Because they are ignorant and have nothing better to do. The lifestyle he chose doesnt define whom he is, its just his preferance, if people can't accept that then thats their loss. There is nothing wrong with being gay or straight there is however something wrong in the opinion that most people choose to form, when in reality no one is better than the next . Tell him keep his head up and keep moving along, one day those same people may need his help, he should be the better man and offer it. They won't know what hit them.

One word...Homophobia. I really don't understand it. I love gay guys. They are fun to be around. I'm so sorry about your friend. Hopefully this advice will help. Keep your head high and if people have a problem with you, turn your back on them...they are just jealous...

i dont hate gay men and i hate when people talk about gay men or women. the thing i hate most is that straight men always think gay men are after them, god you're not that good looking. i wish people realized everyone is different.
