You really want to know where I'm from?

I live in a tiny (pop 300) town, in rural Ontario. We have this cute lil grocery store w/ a beer store all in one. There are two lil ice creams stores (right across the streetr from each other), a gas station, a video store, and two restaurants (also across the street from each other).

The one restaurant is open only at lunch, and the other restaurant is open only for a late lunch(after 3)/dinner. At the video store, there are only two walls of dvds, and the dvds are onyl 6 months old. If you're looking for an older movie, you're outta luck!

But at the end of the day, it's my hometown, and I'd love it no matter what! lol...it sound too corny to be true, but honestly, it's just down olde country folk.

But wait, it gets better! The weather is so extreme that in winter we reach -30C (about -10F), and in summertime(today for example) we reached +46C (w/humidex) (roughly the same as one would feel in the Death Valley).

Where do you live?
:-)

I am from Northern California near Sacramento. My husband and I moved here from the Bay Area in 1990 and I am still trying to get used to the heat, summers are upper 90' to 100+! I am in a small town too so that was a culture shock.

Over all I do like it here. We are still pretty close to San Francisco as well as Reno and Tahoe, Nevada as well as Oregon.
In a way living in a small town is kind of nice. It took a long time to feel like I fit in but once I decided not to try so hard and just be myself I fit in a lot easier!

I live in Boise, Idaho, and it is awesome! Idaho is very beautiful; it has great mountains, lakes, and meadows and is fun in the summer and winter. In the winter, people go skiing or snowboarding in the mountains, and there is a city called McCall that has a great winter carnival with ice sculptures of everything from castles to Spongebob. In the summer, we hang out outside in the heat and float the Boise river in a tube or raft. Idaho is cool because it has the best of both worlds; cold snowy winters and hot summers- but the heat is bearable because there is little to no humidity.

Southern Wisconsin - beautiful area with rolling hills and farms. Amish that ride down the roads in their buggies. Might be a little to cold in the winter for some but the summers are normally pretty nice. Way too hot lately though...
