Two things either the rim is bent or the rear wheel bearing is worn out and loose. Jack up and place jack stand on that side. Spin the wheel watch the rim for in and out thats run out... up and down is out of roundness. Looks good? now grab the tire top and bottom and push and pull feel for looseness sign of play in the bearing and fell side to side play too. Either is easy to fix with good tools. Bearing for that car comes with the wheeel studs anitlock brake sensor and flange. GM bearing comes with new bolts too,

It is probably the wheel bearing. I just worked on a problem like that today at work on a trailor. The wheel on it was woobling and we took the drum apart and put a new bearing in it and it is as good as new. It should be an easy fix unless you drove it too long like that.

Sounds like the hub assembly is falling apart. Probably a bad wheel bearing. If the lug nuts are tight you will want to look at the ball joints. If the suspension is ok, then it's probably the hub assy. Look underneath while someone else shoves the car from side to side at the back fender. You will see it move somewhere. Good luck.

Either the lugnuts are not tight OR more likely the wheel bearing is shot. Better have it fixed or the wheel is coming off on it's own VERY soon. Not a terribly expensive job either.

It's probably ..."the loose nut behind the wheel".
