Everyone needs friends. My little brother has the same problem. He does not have any really close friends except on the Internet. I have one best friends and other friends that I don't always trust. Without her I don't know what I would be like. Open yourself up to someone. If you can't find someone you are comfortable with in person then find someone on line you can confide in... Just be careful and not give to many details out. You can tell your feelings without telling where you are from and that kind of thing. Good luck!

I do and my life is better for it, I let my defences down so many times with people who I thought were friends, I think today most people can get along without friends, those who have a really good friend who they can trust or are never let down by are so lucky but I am beginning to wonder if true friendship does exist today, my motto, trust none, love few always paddle your own canoe.

Sounds like we went to the same school. I guess I am living proof that you can live without friends, but never really had a friend the way I always thought, seemed I was used and forgotten about when I needed someone. ak

Reading your question was like reading my own statement.
Been let down in shocking realities and I now trust no one.
I don't intend to remain that way, just that at the moment this is what life is showing me. Who knows!
Feels lonely on the inside, though not as bad as being shat on again. Just on a journey right now.
