neither, we rot in the ground just like everything else. Our collective unconscious has developed religion to feel more comfortable about death. Its nice to believe that we will be resurrected. But its just not in the cards. I dont know how someone can be resurrected and have the human population grow exponentially each year. Unless souls commit the act of mitosis.

I must tell you that both English words "life" and "soul" are equally valid translations of the Greek work psyche. In that case to save my soul is the same thing as to save my life.
But I do closely agree with a few of the other posters. To be redeemed from death is precisely the thing that leads to resurrection. If we are "bought back" from death and corruption we must then either stay alive or be resurrected after we die.

Lucky for us, we don't have to choose. We can have both. Jesus died and was resurrected, so that all men may live again. Because of the Resurrection of Christ, all men, good or bad, will live again. As for redemption or exaltation, we must live according to the commandments of God and try to be perfect. That is something that is up to us to decide what we want, so I choose both.

Resurrection is proof of redemption. They go together, like love and marriage, the two sides of a coin, spring and daffodils,
winter and leaf-barren trees. You are asking us to answer as if these were a dichotomy, but they are not, and thank the Lord, they aren't.

I believe we will all be resurrected to be judged and the ones who found redemption through Jesus Christ in this life will go on to Heaven, the rest...

your question pre-supposes that there is something wrong with my soul and that it needs saving.
I would say neither. My soul is not in jeopardy, and I believe there is a natural cycle for everything, I want to see how it flows.

My soul belongs to the universe, whose energy produced it, and so it is not mine to save. My life belongs to me and I will save it until I am done with it. It is time that eludes us, and it is time I would choose to attach my life and soul to, just to see what happens.
