Yes. Severe sunburns can cause nausea and vomiting. You may also have a mild case of heat exhaustion as well (nausea is also a sign of this). Drink lots of cold water and take tepid (not cold) showers. If you perspired a lot you while you were in the sun, you may need take extra salt (eat salty chips or add more salt to your food if you can eat). Apply Aloe to your sunburn. Good Luck and feel better.

Most definitely. Also fever, nausea and dehydration, even kidney distress.
There are 6 degrees of burn: anything beyond 1st degree (skin not broken) and 2nd degree (blisters & broken skin) should receive the attention of a doctor. Broken skin is susceptible to infection.
I recommend nettle tea, brewed very strong, applied topically and covered with gauze moistened with the tea. Also drink the tea and take valerian capsules for mild sedative & pain relief. Also apple cider vinegar shaken with a few drops of lavender essential oil, applied topically for temporary pain relief, antiseptic, antimicrobial & to speed healing (keep out of eyes & mucous membranes).

A friend of mine had severe sunburn too, and yes, he was sick to his stomache.
BTW - My personal home remedy for sunburn (as long as it's not too severe) tea bags dipped in ice water and then dabbed onto the burn. It works pretty well.
