The big four household recyclables are paper, plastic, metal, and glass. Others include electronic devices, batteries, and tires. You could also think of compost as recycled material. Your local municipality probably has a recycling program and I am sure that information is available if you contact them.

It depends on your area. Some don't have recycling. Some recycle only regular paper, while others will recycle paper (including regular paper, cardboard, and newspaper), glass, cans (aluminum), and PETE or HDPE plastic.

Paper, aluminum, and glass products are the most common. In some parts of the country, garbage is recycled and used as a source of fuel.

Yes, you are more than a little late. Aluminum, cardboard, paper bags, newspapers, plastics (depending on the "PETE" code marked on the item, glass, etc. Try checking with the EPA on line. Ask your local chamber of commerce. Call your disposal company.

I recycle plastic and glass bottles, soda, tomato sauce, etc. I also recycle any kind of cans, and cardboard, cereal boxes and soda boxes.

i work at a recycling center...cardboard, aluminum, tin cans, newspapers, plastics (we only do the #2), paper, glass, clothing, shoes, copper, books, magazines, any household item (we do not accept appliances as they are hard to get rid of if they do not work), furniture and buttons
