it all depend on the both of you, of course its great to me. you should be mature mentally and physically and able to be responsible for the thing you do, don't just do it to please others. religious wise YES it important, or else practice safe sex

This may sound stupid but I dont think either should be virgins.
what if you get married and have no sexual experience? are you really going to please each other? I have seen many marriages crumble because of sexual frustration or incompatibility.If one or both are virgins one or both will end up cheating. Another point is if you marry as a virgin you may always have a curiosity about what you may have missed. Dont be a slut but do gain some sexual experience before you marry

Only in some people's eyes. Society here in America in general has made sex some forbidden thing. While it is displayed alot in our "entertainment", it's rarely put into a positive light when discussed. But, maybe this is just something from older generations.
