How many people think that the conflict in Isreal and Hezbelah will lead to world war III? Or is it that we are nearing the end of the world like the bible profisized so many years ago?
Let me know your thoughts about it, please no rude responses, and I am not looking to make a point, or share my political views with anyone at all.....IT IS JUST A POLL.

LOL. I hear ya on the "just a poll" disclaimer. Loaded questions seem to bring em outta the woodwork. I doubt it's WWIII. Fact is, this more a continuation of the thousands of years in conflict the region's been dealing with. WWIII is most likely the result of using wmd's (please folx, no "iraq" comments. It's not what I'm talkin bout) Using wmd's on the region is unlkely as it'd be seen as desecration of holy land by most of the participants. Think about it, they're butchering each other over scripture, and to hold land they want. They're not likely to destroy their ultimate goal. It's not to say that nutcases would'nt use em in other regions, but I suspect the moment of truth before use would mean the crackpot realizes, nuking us may result in a retaliation that would end up with the entire reqion bcoming a glass parking lot.
End o world? Nah, the planet's going to be around for awhile. Whether or not WE'RE on it is another matter.

Well for starters we are already in WWIII, we are not being led to it. And no I don't think we are at the end of the world. Most people who think that way have only 10 years or less of lifetime behind them, that they paid attention to anything (say 15 to 25 year olds).
They don't remember (or know) about the Iran hostage crisis, or the Beruit barrack bombings, or the Cold war when everyone thought a nuclear war was just around the corner, the Cuban Missile Crisis, etc etc.

These things happen, they always will. The only choice is to win or lose.

The end of the world story dates back to ancient cultures and when that happens would it really matter? as there would be no one to record the event. (Sort of like the tree in the forest falling and no one hears it... does it make a noise?)This current conflict by any means this is not WW III. It does not mean that this conflict will not turn into a bigger more serious situation, but for now I would term it as a conflict.

Even if this middle east conflict works into a conflagration that ends the human race, it will not end the existence of Earth nor will it fulfill anything in any of the prophecies (none of which has been fulfilled as written to date).

Humans are biological entities, a species. Any species that eliminates its natural enemies usually overproduces, runs out of food and/or water, and dies back or fights its way to near-extinction or extinction. If we as humans follow that path, it is no more than could be expected for any species.

If we, on the other hand, manage to bring ourselves back from the brink of destruction, then that is a tribute to our ability to use reason to benefit the entire species.

Sweetheart it is just a political maneuver to up the price of oil.
The world will always be at war because there is big money to be made. People die as a result of this but the big wigs behide it do not care as long as there is profit to be made.
And no this is not the end of the world Israel has be at war for thousands of year and will be until Jesus comes again.

I think it's beginning to look more, and more obvious all the time that world war 3 is about ready to explode. There's just too much tension over there to be resolved by peaceful means. My gut feeling is that yes, it will be the final conflict foretold in the Bible.
